At HMR we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every patient’s hair, goals, and scalp health are unique — and so is the treatment we design.
Your first step is a personalized medical evaluation with one of our certified surgeons. During this consultation, we’ll examine your scalp, donor area, hair pattern, and expectations to create a plan that feels realistic, natural, and truly life-changing.
Every case is different, and our job is to help you choose the right timing for the most natural, lasting results. Most patients are already in their late 20s or older, once their hair loss pattern has stabilized. Younger patients may still be losing hair rapidly, so we usually recommend waiting until the progression is clearer.
That depends on the extent of your hair loss and density you’re aiming for. Some patients need 1,500 grafts, others may need 3,000 or more in the same area. In your consultation, we’ll map your hairline, donor area and future needs so you know exactly what to expect.
We don’t choose one over the other, we actually use both because they complement each other. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is the step where we carefully take out the grafts one by one from the donor area (usually the back of your head) and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is the step where those grafts are implanted directly into the thinning areas, using a special tool that allows for precise placement and natural results.
In other words, FUE is how we extract the hairs and DHI is how we implant them.
Most patients are surprised by how comfortable they feel — many even fall asleep during the procedure.
Thanks to local anesthesia and the experience of our surgical team, discomfort is minimal. You’ll be awake, relaxed, and able to listen to music or watch a movie while the procedure is performed.
(Yes — you can send us your playlist or movie picks in advance!)
Not always. We offer both shaven and non-shaven FUE options — perfect if you prefer a more discreet procedure. Conditions apply.
Hair growth is a gradual process, and patience is key — but the wait is worth it.
Most patients see the first visible changes between months 4 and 6, with full, natural results around 12 months. At HMR, we follow your progress closely and schedule check-ins to ensure you feel supported throughout the entire journey.
It depends on the job you perform, however we usually suggest our patients to take from 3 to 5 days off work. Since the procedure is gentle, recovery is usually quick. You might just want a few extra days to rest and let any redness or swelling go down before going about your daily routine. We’ll give you clear and easy instructions to adapt the recovery plan to your lifestyle.
Always ask for your surgeon’s medical license and credentials before your procedure. At HMR, every transplant is performed by certified doctors only, following the Fight the F.I.G.H.T. commitment to safety and transparency.
